On Monday 5th July 2010 a workshop took place just prior to the British Society of Gerontology Conference at Brunel University

The workshop, for early career researchers in ageing, focussed on getting research grants. It was co-sponsored by the NDA, Lifelong Health and Wellbeing and the BSG Emerging Researchers in Ageing group. Speakers included Mary Gilhooly, Janet Lord, Sheila Peace, Chris Phillipson and Christina Victor. Participants, including both PhD students and post-doctoral researchers, were drawn from the NDA and LLHW Programmes, the Irish gerontological research network CARDI and there were also some representatives from Canada. In all 60 people took part. Watch this space for future events.
