11 Preparatory networks ran between October 2006 to November 2007. They were funded specifically by the NDA for researchers to prepare applications for the second call for Collaborative Research Projects (CRPs) in November 2007. Five of these networks were funded : Healthy Ageing > HALCyon, ICT Use > SUS-IT, Design Innovation > Design for Ageing Well, Rural > Grey and Pleasant Land and Working late > Working Late
