JPND is a transnational initiative that aims to address the growing societal challenge presented by age-related neurodegenerative diseases. It involves research funders from 26 member countries. Spanning biomedical, healthcare and social science research, JPND aims to increase coordinated investment between participating countries in research aimed at finding causes, developing cures, and identifying appropriate ways to care for those with neurodegenerative diseases.
The ESRC student internship scheme provides current ESRC-funded PhD students with the opportunity to spend up to six months in a non-academic organisation within the public, civil society (voluntary) or private sector to work as part of a team involved with policy and practice development.
This scheme provides the opportunity to apply for funding for knowledge exchange activities at any stage of the research lifecycle, and is aimed at maximising the impact of social science research outside academia.

Design for Wellbeing Call - ESRC/EPSRC/AHRC funding opportunity on ageing and mobility in the built environment.
