Ageing and the Humanities Workshop

The New Dynamics of Ageing Programme is organising a workshop for researchers working on topics concerning ageing and older people and the arts and humanities.

The workshop will feature the progress of NDA projects that have focused on different aspects of ageing and the arts, from theatre and photography to representations of ageing in fiction.

Professor Susan Hallam, Institute of Education
Dr. Andrew Newman, Newcastle University
Professor Philip Tew, Brunel University
Dr. Lorna Warren, University of Sheffield

The event will be chaired by Professor Alexandra Carter, Middlesex University, and introduced by Professor Pat Thane, King’s College London.

In addition, there will be an overview of research in this emerging field and a commentary from the AHRC. This will be provided by Adam Walker, Strategy and Development Manager at the AHRC.
